About us

The Royal Motor Yacht Club at Point Piper has a long, and royal, history. It’s a stylish, comfortable place for members to relax, enjoy dining in the Marina restaurant, a workout in the members-only gym or a swim in the heated pool. The marina provides a secure place for members to moor their power boats on Rose Bay.

The Royal Motor Yacht Club was formed in a preliminary meeting at Aaron's Exchange Hotel in Sunday on 6 July 1905. It was then names The Motor Boat Club and was the second motorboat club to be formed in what was then the British Empire. The Club opened its first season at Clifton Gardens on Saturday, 5 November 1905.
